JUICE DETOX DRINK 4
I AM SPICE-C HOT is the fourth or Mid-Afternoon drink recipe in our FREE JUICE DETOX. This green juice recipe includes super detoxing and anti-inflammatory ginger and jalapeño, however it’s an interesting and refreshing flavor you will surprisingly enjoy. You can use 2 cups of spinach or kale instead of 1 cup of each.
This whole green juice recipe is easily made with a good power blender – but we have tested making this recipe with regular blender as well. 🙂 Learn more about WHY and HOW our Juice Detox is different from other ones!
Jalapenos are spicy peppers and members of the Capsaicin family, which means it acts as an anti-inflammatory and vasodilator that promotes healthy blood flow.
Ginger does wonder for digestion and will detoxify your gastrointestinal tract in a variety of ways. For one, ginger improves nutrient absorption by stimulating gastric and pancreatic enzyme secretion and relieves stomachaches, pain, and inflammation. Ginger is powerful: regular consumption of ginger slows the growth of colorectal cancer cells!
Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain that aids in digestion and cleans the blood while also helping in the breakdown of protein. Pineapple is also anti-inflammatory, so this juice is particularly great for those with arthritis or joint pain. Pineapple also containsmanganese, which serves to regulate blood glucose and boost your immune systemalongside the plentiful amounts of Vitamin C.
The phytonutrients in apples help to regulate blood sugar by breaking down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars that are easy for your body to digest. Apples help with elimination and weight loss due to a high level of pectin, which is a type of soluble fiber. Pectin lowers blood fat, making apples a heart-healthy addition to any juice.
Oranges are abundant in soluble fiber, potassium, and vitamin C, which serve to lower cholesterol levels, improve heart function, and lower your risk of heart disease. Potassium will work with other vitamins found in oranges including magnesium, calcium, and sodium, to maintain fluid levels at a cellular level. Oranges are also rich in carotenoid compounds that help protect the eyes, absorb light, and improve vision.
Bananas give us an instant surge of energy, while keeping blood pressure under control. Bananas are rich in potassium, calcium, and magnesium, as well as soluble fibers, which help to lower cholesterol. Bananas are also rich in fructooligosaccharide, a probiotic that helps your body absorb nutrients and assisting with digestion. Bananas will relieve diarrhea, as they regulate fluid balance, alleviate constipation, and improve bowel function. Bananas also have high levels of iron, amino acids, and antacids, all of which help your body prevent allergies, alleviate heartburn, recover from hangovers, and help you to lose or gain weight, depending on how you combine your foods. They are very easy to digest and will promote healthy skin, scalp, and hair.
Spinach is packed with Vitamin K, which protects bone health and prevents osteoporosis. Spinach also improves digestion and the health of your skin and is a great source of plant-based protein and iron. Note: Spinach grows unprotected by a rind or peel, so it is particularly vulnerable to pesticides and other agricultural chemicals, landing it on the ‘Dirty Dozen‘ list. If you can find and afford organic spinach, it is highly recommended!
