This beet juice recipe blender style totally changed my feelings about beets. I used to hate them. The earthy flavor made me gag. But my parents were right about taste preferences changing over time.
My best friend Heather has loved beets forever. We go out to eat, and she orders them every single time. Her laugh is super infectious. So is her beet enthusiasm. You might spot her on my Instagram stories sometimes!
We shared this incredible salad one day. It paired beets and oranges together. The combo blew my mind. This detox beet green juice recipe came from that experience.
Even if beets aren’t your thing, give this a shot. The combo might sound weird for a green juice. But it tastes amazing and does incredible things for your body.
The coconut water base keeps things light. Fresh spinach leaves add tons of nutrition. You get a tangy, slightly sweet drink that’s packed with Vitamin C. Low calories and high fiber make it perfect for weight management.
Why Blending Beats Juicing for This Beet Recipe
Your blender keeps all the good fiber that juicers throw away. That fiber does serious work in your body. It helps digestion run smoothly. It keeps you satisfied between meals. Your blood sugar stays way more stable.
Cleanup takes about 30 seconds with a blender. Juicers have a million parts to scrub and rinse. I actually make this beet juice recipe regularly because it’s so easy. No complicated cleanup means I’ll actually do it.
Nothing gets wasted with the blender method. Every vitamin and mineral ends up in your glass. Juicers toss the pulp with tons of nutrients still in it. You paid for those vegetables. Keep all the good stuff.
You can use any decent blender for this recipe. A Vitamix or Blendtec creates the smoothest texture. Regular blenders work fine, too. Just add extra liquid and expect a thicker result.
Should You Use Raw or Steamed Beets
I recommend peeled and gently steamed beets for this beet juice recipe blender version. Steaming mellows that intense earthy flavor. This matters big time if beets usually aren’t your jam.
Raw peeled beets work great too. Hardcore beet fans love that stronger, earthy taste. Start with steamed beets first. Work your way to raw as you get used to the flavor.
Short on time? Grab pre-packaged cooked beets from the grocery store. Look in the produce section or by the salad bar. This hack makes healthy eating way easier on busy days.
What Sets This Detox Beet Juice Apart
Most beet juice recipes dump in tons of sugar and calories. This one doesn’t do that. The orange and coconut water provide natural sweetness. No added sugars or fake sweeteners needed here.
The fiber content makes this totally different from regular juice. Fiber slows down how fast sugar hits your bloodstream. You avoid that nasty energy crash that comes after drinking most juices. Your energy stays consistent instead.
This recipe works perfectly if you’re trying to lose a few pounds. The calorie count stays super low. Just remember this is a snack and not a meal. You won’t feel stuffed after drinking it.
Pair it with protein and healthy fats for balance. Almonds work great. Some hummus with cut veggies hits the spot, too.

Incredible Health Benefits Beets Deliver
Beets have the highest sugar content of all vegetables. But they’re absolutely packed with nutrition. Your liver, heart, and muscles love what beets provide.
The deep red color comes from betalains. These antioxidants fight inflammation everywhere in your body. Making this beet juice recipe blender drink regularly floods your system with these benefits.
Your Liver Gets Serious Support
Beetroot contains betaine. This substance stops fatty deposits from building up in your liver. It also shields your liver from environmental toxins.
Your liver filters everything you eat and drink. Give it some backup with this juice. Betaine helps your body handle fats way more efficiently. Your liver functions at peak performance with regular support.
Studies show beets might reverse early liver damage. The protective effects build up over time. Consistency matters more than perfection here.
Blood Pressure Drops Naturally
Beets contain nitrates that turn into nitric oxide in your body. This compound relaxes your blood vessels. They open up wider for better blood flow. Lower blood pressure follows naturally.
Research proves beet juice lowers blood pressure fast. You see results within a few hours of drinking it. Making this detox juice part of your routine helps manage blood pressure long term.
Better circulation helps every single organ in your body. Your heart works less when blood flows freely. Everything functions better with improved blood flow.
Athletes Perform Better
Lots of athletes drink beet juice before training. The nitrates boost oxygen delivery to muscles during exercise. You can push harder and recover faster.
Studies have found that beets elevate blood nitrate levels significantly. They cut the oxygen cost of easier workouts. They also boost tolerance during intense training sessions.
Drink this before hitting the gym for better endurance. Many pros include beet juice in their training programs. The performance boost comes totally naturally. Check out more pre-workout smoothie recipes for variety.
Inflammation Gets Knocked Down
Betaine and betalains both crush inflammation in your body. Chronic inflammation creates tons of health problems over time. These compounds shield your cells from environmental damage.
Regular beet consumption protects your internal organs. The nutrients improve blood vessel health naturally. Disease risk factors drop with consistent use.
The anti-inflammatory effects help workout recovery, too. Your muscles bounce back faster after tough training. Joint pain and stiffness might improve over time. Benefits build gradually with regular drinking.
Pro Tips for Perfect Beet Juice Every Time
Getting great texture and flavor takes just a few simple tricks. Small changes make huge differences in your final drink. Your beet juice should look vibrant and taste delicious every single time.
The order you add ingredients really matters. Always start with these steps:
- Pour liquid in first (helps blades move freely)
- Add leafy greens second (they blend easier at the bottom)
- Drop in soft fruits and vegetables
- Put hard items like beets in last
This order prevents jamming and creates smoother results. Your blender motor won’t struggle as much either.
Choosing the Right Blender
High-powered blenders create a super smooth juice texture. They pulverize beets completely with zero chunks. Vitamix blenders and Blendtec models crush it for this recipe.
Regular blenders totally work for this beet juice recipe blender method. Just add extra liquid and expect a thicker consistency. The nutrition stays exactly the same.
Budget blenders need more patience from you. Cut beets into smaller chunks first. Blend in short bursts instead of running continuously. Give your motor breaks so it doesn’t overheat.
Getting Your Ideal Texture
Want pure juice with no pulp at all? Strain your blended mix through a fine mesh sieve. You lose some fiber but get smoother drinking.
Keep all the pulp for maximum nutrition. The fiber makes it this way more filling and satisfying. It also helps keep blood sugar stable. Most people prefer keeping everything in there.
Add more coconut water if things look too thick. Start with small amounts between blends. You can always add more liquid. Taking it out is impossible, though.
Storing Your Beet Juice Fresh
Fresh juice tastes best right after making it. Oxidation starts immediately when you blend. Nutrients gradually break down over time from air exposure.
Store leftovers in an airtight glass container. Fill it completely to the top. Less air means slower nutrient loss. Keep it in your fridge for up to 48 hours maximum.
Freeze portions in ice cube trays for longer keeping. Pop a few cubes into your green smoothies later. Frozen beet juice cubes last about three months. This works awesome for batch prep days.
Expanding Your Healthy Juice Routine
This detox beet green juice starts your blending adventure. Try different versions once you nail this base recipe. Swap orange for grapefruit for tartness. Add half a green apple for natural sweetness.

This beet green juice is really so good! I especially love that you don’t need a juicer and keep all of the healthy fiber. I can’t wait to play with it by adding more veggies and perhaps some parsley. No more paying the astronomical price at my local juice shop. Delish!
I have tried many juice combos with beets and none have really wowed me until now. It was perfectly balanced and refreshing. Full disclosure, I had to substitute kale for spinach because that is what I had and it came out great!
You have to use what you got! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your feedback Liz, I love this one too. 🙂 ~ Tarashaun
