High Protein Pumpkin Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree chilled (canned or fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup OR coconut palm sugar OR brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Dash of ground cloves
  • 1 ripe banana sliced and frozen
  • Dash of allspice optional
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes


  • Place all ingredients into the blender in the order listed and secure lid.
  • For Blendtec: Press the SMOOTHIE button.
  • For Vitamix: Select VARIABLE, speed #1. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to VARIABLE, speed #10, then to HIGH. Blend for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.
