Hello Nancy and welcome! We know that all juices should be made with pesticide free/organic produce. Other than that we recommend asking your physician or Kriss Carr who has more experience with these type of questions and juicing. http://www.krisscarr.com Sending Love & Light to you and yours.

any assume this is ok for pregnant mommies and their lil sprouts too ?
Good question! It should be okay, and after doing a bit of research we haven’t found too many ingredients for green juices and smoothies that should be avoided other than fruits/veggies that are contaminated with bacteria – but we definitely recommend speaking with your physician before changing your diet, especially while pregnant. Note: most of our communities Blender Babies LOVE Green Juice!
Bananas and oranges are major migraine triggers for me. Seems like bananas are in most smoothie recipes! Can you recommend a good substitute fruit? Is it ok to just leave it out most times or does it play an important role in the flavor, texture, etc?
Thanks so much! Thrilled to find this website.
Hello Beth and WELCOME to Blender Babes, we are so glad you found us too! I really need to create a post for banana-free smoothies as many people either don’t like them or are allergic – and if eating it gives you a migraine I would stay far away as well! Yes, you can absolutely omit them from a recipe – to keep the same texture though try replacing it with mangoes or for a richer smoothie full of healthy fats, 1/4 to 1/2 avocado. Hope that helps! xo
Tofu makes a great thickening agent for smoothies.
Yes Rod! It’s also a great protein source. ๐ Make sure it’s orgainic or non-gmo soybeans!
