It’s high in fiber, which prevents constipation. Additionally, it contains natural digestive enzymes that help to break down hard to digest foods that can cause bloating.

If you tried and LOVED this Flat Tummy Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie/Cocktail (errr, yes we also made it into a cocktail version – don’t do that with this one!) they have very similar ingredients, so you’re sure to enjoy this smoothie by Brett Hoebel.

Our testers used whole flax seeds instead of ground, which of course you can do in a power blender since most of them are able to quickly grind flax seeds for you!

They also really loved the ginger and pineapple flavor together.

Brent Hoebel's Anti-Bloat Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup papaya
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1/2 pear sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger fresh
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed ground
  • 2 dashes of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 mint leaves optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients into the blender in the order listed, secure lid and blend until smooth.
  • For Blendtec: Press the SMOOTHIE setting and blend for 30 seconds OR blend on Low speed for 10 seconds, then a Medium to Medium-Low speed for 10 seconds, then Medium to Medium-High speed for 20 seconds.
  • For Vitamix: Start on VARIABLE speed 1. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to VARIABLE speed 10/HIGH and blend until smooth (about 30-45 seconds) OR use the SMOOTHIE setting.

    Just woke up and saw this recipe…guess what’s for breakfast this morning!! Really looks and sounds delicious. I love papaya and pineapple. I would try it with a mango too perhaps.

  5. I just love papaya in smoothies! I usually pair it with banana, so beautifully sweet. Pears do have some bloating properties though. Otherwise, sounds pretty good 🙂
