BLENDER BABES RECIPE TESTER NOTES

“This was fantastic. It was my first time using vanilla protein powder, and I was a bit nervous. I shouldn’t have been! In fact it was creamy and delicious. I omitted the yogurt portion since I’m dairy-free. The nutmeg was a nice addition. This was as velvety as a milkshake and quite filling.

“The nutmeg really lends a nice warmth and the vanilla pulls everything together.”

“I would much rather have this banana almond smoothie knowing that it is better for you instead of a Diner’s Malt Shake with all of the sweets, creams, and dairy in it! Moreover I barely tasted Almond Butter, am surprised by that and that made me wondering that next time I would use About Time’s Vegan Chocolate Protein, maybe it would taste like Jamba Juice’s Chocolate Moo’d, I can already imagine and taste that!”

  1. I want to try this recipe and wonder if the 2nd serving can hold up until the end of the day or the next day. Or should I be drinking this all in one day (like breakfast and lunch?
I live alone and can’t waste an ounce of my food. So I’m hoping it holds until the next morning. If not, I may need to cut the ingredients in half.

Blender babes – what say you?

    1. Blender Babes

It should definitely hold up for 24 hours. If you get blender bottle it will help shake up the ingredients that settle if you’re on-the-go. Otherwise definitely try cutting in half and making it fresh as needed. 🙂 We hate wasting too! HAPPY BLENDING!

  2. 5 stars
I’m going to be making this tomorrow morning! Vegan style of course 😉 I eat about 6 to 9 bananas a day so I love new smoothie recipes. Thanks
